Tetbury Art Society

Welcome to our website

The Society was formed in 1976 by Roy Baker, one time Mayor of the town. Its object is to promote the appreciation and practice of the Visual Arts. Roy was our President for many years; His Majesty King Charles III is our current President.

Members

Members come from Tetbury and the surrounding villages and towns and range from professional artists to self-taught improvers and beginners. We come together to share expertise in a friendly and helpful manner using various media, styles and techniques. Some of our members also meet at the village hall in Shipton Moyne on Monday afternoons.
Contact us to join or just come along to a meeting.

Exhibitions

At present, we hold three exhibitions a year in the splendid 17th century Market House in the centre of Tetbury, the town’s focal point. Exhibitions are held on March, the Early May and August Bank Holidays plus an Autumn Sale. See Programme for dates and Exhibitions for submission details for members.

Our programme of meetings

Our annual calendar traditionally begins in February.
We are excited to announce that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and social gathering are scheduled for March 20th at the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre. You can explore our planned activities by visiting the Programme page.
Our regular meetings will take place at St Michael’s Hall, 20 The Green, Tetbury, GL8 8DN. The Hall is attached to St Michael’s Church with the entrance at the rear of the building through an iron gate.
We also organise various trips and outings throughout the year for members to enjoy.
